You’re here to run your business.
Not let it run all over you.
But when you’re looking at hiring your first employee, trying to navigate new workplace laws, figuring out the whole contractor vs employee puzzle, or just need some advice on how to deal with your assistant manager’s not-so-secret (and completely scathing) blog, it’s time to knock on the door of your virtual HR department (in the cloud).
Whether you’re an organisation of 1 or 1000, managing HR isn’t just a ‘nice to have’; it’s essential.
But finding the right lawyer to work with is often the stumbling block before you even get started.
You’re worried about being ripped off;
scared you’ll end up more muddled than when you started;
and not sure you even really need the help (doesn’t Google know all these days?).
If peace of mind had a business card it would be called Cube Workplace Solutions.
One size fits all might be good for beach sarongs; not so good when it comes to your business’ legal backbone.
Whether it be employment contracts, workplace policies, dismissal letters or legal advice and representation, Cube will ensure your specific needs as a business are carefully considered to build a rock-solid foundation and help you tie your Rambo bandana if a dispute arises.
Human language and a personalised sounding board are terms and conditions you’ll be grateful for.
Employment law isn’t black and white but we can help you make sense of the psychedelic confusion between the lines.
So you can sleep well at night knowing all your ducks are in a row.
Hi, I’m Lisa Bassa.
Workplace relations lawyer & HR partner to stressed-out business owners Australia wide.
I founded Cube Workplace Solutions because I couldn’t stand to see so many business owners and senior managers losing hours of their time caught up in workplace disputes;
Disputes that could have been avoided with the right structure in place, and straight-to-the-point advice when they needed it.
I’ve worked for the big city law firm, dishing advice to large reputable companies, and I’ve also had years of experience representing employees (aka I know exactly how employee representatives think).
But legal knowledge is only a part of what’s needed to give good advice.
That’s why at Cube, we do HR law with a healthy dose of human.
And heart.
Having also worked in-house for a large contracting business, I understand the pressures that can come with decision making, and the frictions that occur between finance, operations, HR and legal.
I’m a true believer that a workplace should be a fair environment on both sides of the fence.
Luckily for me, I enjoy nothing more than educating employers about their obligations and their employees’ rights so their workplace can be fair and compliant.
For me, each issue is a Rubik’s Cube with its own unique strategy based on not only the business, its size and industry, but also the personalities involved.
But it wasn’t always this way…
There was a time when I worked for a firm who took a one-size-fits-all approach to workplace law. It didn’t work, and it frustrated me to no end.
By launching Cube in 2014, I’m able to spend my days being the advisor my clients couldn’t imagine running their business without.
Because, ultimately?
We get it right and take the pressure off you.
